How long is the milkshake supposed to lay around the yard luring boys, til it gets chunky?

Coordinated Care Compensation Crap!

Coordinated Care Compensation Crap!

Above is a link to a survey I found on the Wyoming Department of Health website requesting current Medicaid recipients input regarding “cooperative” or “coordinated” (their unnecessary quotation marks, not mine) care. Coordinated care is basically describe as a system of intercommunication between health providing agencies. For example, your therapist talks to your primary care physician who calls meal on wheels, because it is essential for your doctor who is treating you for bronchitis to know that you need meals delivered to your house. Pretty much seems like a convenient way for Big Brother to keep tabs on just how much you owe your government. The funniest part of this survey is that it is anonymous, so even if you aren’t a Medicaid recipient you can fill out the survey, which I did. What really caught my attention were two entries under question #7 (how to get providers to work together), which you were to rank from not helpful to very helpful.

PAYING YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER A LITTLE MORE SO THEY CAN GIVE YOU EXTRA HELP, LIKE HELPING YOU SET UP APPOINTMENTS TO GET THE CARE YOU NEED

PAYING HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS WHO DO A GOOD JOB OF COORDINATING YOUR HEALTH CARE A LITTLE MORE

All I can say is WTF? Do you get paid “A Little More” to do your job correctly? But then I read the next 3 questions.

8. Would you like Medicaid to pay health care providers a bonus for improving the quality of the care you get?

9. Would you like it if Medicaid paid health care providers a bonus for lowering health care costs paid by Medicaid?

10. Would you like it if Medicaid paid health care providers to coordinate your health care? This means the provider would get money for the time they spend talking with your other providers and helping you get services in the community that can help you stay healthier.

I answered a resounding NO to each of these questions, especially considering the increased costs or bonuses aren’t paid for by the Medicaid recipient out of their pockets, but rather out of the pockets of the few taxpayers left in this country.

“You just don’t…

“You just don’t, in the 21st century, behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country on a completely trumped-up pretext,” John Kerry, US Secretary of State told the CBS program “Face the Nation”.

Truly hysterical considering our invasion of Iraq was based on false claims of weapons of mass destruction. Seriously, we are a nation governed by unbelievable hypocrites. Full story here.
